Permissions IC FLIGHT : I will always, always gesture into this, and Otus will never come and just randomly pick someone up. If we're threading and you don't want to be picked up, I just ask that you tell me either [ as a side note in action brackets ] or in person! BEING "ATTACKED" : Otus is a smol owl, and while not entirely a pacifist, he needs to be pushed beyond his character limits to become aggresive or violent. His strength lies in his speed, and while he wouldn't be able to hurt anyone (outside of their own fall damage), he can stun people briefly by spinning into them with his cloak on. This never causes physical harm, unless you're made out of that wrinkly Christmas tissue that rips easy. If you'd like to work around this, please let me know first. MUTE : Otus is a mute, which means that he cannot speak! This means that the majority of my writing will be done wither [ in brackets ] or in an explaining manner. I ask that unless your character is a mind reader and we've discussed it, you don't read his little noggin'. I'll give you physical cues that can be worked off of, certainly (Otus has been mute his whole life, after all, and would know how to explain some things without the use of words!)! He can write letters on hands and would be happy to learn sign language during his stay in LifeAftr! FLIRTATION : This is completely fine, but Otus is kind of a dumb and smol owl when it comes to romance. MUCH BETTER FRIENDSHIP SKILLS!! PHYSICAL AFFECTION : Is what he's used to-- or rather, not used to, but more prone to! He'd definitely return a hug or hold hands with a friend or whatever the case calls for. Don't be shy. SEXUAL ADVANCES : No. Absolutely not. Under no circumstances would this be acceptable. INJURIES : Yes! Nothing major, like losing an arm or becoming blind-- we'd need to talk about it first. But definitely feel free to let some non-lethal hits land. Otus is pretty fast, so keep that in mind! DEATH : Only after asking me, and talking about it. For the most part, I want to keep him alive as much as possible, though. :) MIND CONTROL/MANIPULATION : This is fine, also! Because my style of writing [ when it comes to writing in brackets ] is littered with my own opinions, I'm always available to help see what Otus would really be thinking about if you're confused. Or if you give me an opening, I would definitely be more than happy to share his thoughts with you. Physical manipulation is fine, also, as long as I know what's going on.
